Recently, Guangzhou Bulk Cement Management Office of Guangdong organized a supply and demand coordination meeting in the eighth branch of Guangzhou Rail Transit Line 11 to promote the application of manufactured sand in metro projects and promote the full application of manufactured sand in metro projects in Guangzhou, Guangdong, and coordinate large-scale high-quality manufactured sand enterprises give priority to guaranteeing the supply of manufactured sand for metro projects, and urge all responsible parties to strengthen supervision of manufactured sand quality. More than 30 units including Guangzhou Metro Group, Shunxing Quarry, Gucheng Mining,The Municipal Manufactured Sand Company, The Provincial Manufactured Sand Special Committee, The Municipal Concrete Industry Association, and metro engineering concrete supply enterprises participated in the meeting.
 

At the meeting, Guangzhou Metro Group introduced the current situation of the use of manufactured sand in metro projects and the annual sand demand plan, and emphasized that measures such as rewards and punishments and the establishment of a manufactured sand concrete supplier database will be adopted. The proportion of manufactured sand used in the main structure and key parts of the project should be more than 20%, and specific quality management requirements are put forward for the manufactured sand and manufactured sand concrete supplied to metro projects. Shunxing Quarry, Gucheng Mining and The Municipal Manufactured Sand Company respectively introduced the production and supply of manufactured sand, and promised to concentrate production capacity, ensure quality, and give priority to guaranteeing the supply of manufactured sand for metro projects. The Municipal Concrete Industry Association and the Provincial Special Committee of Manufactured Sand advocated for metro engineering concrete supply companies and manufactured sand supply companies to recognize the situation, seize opportunities, improve quality, and make every effort to promote the full application of manufactured sand in metro projects.

Guangzhou Bulk Cement Management Office put forward specific work requirements at various aspects including implementing policy requirements, increasing the proportion of manufactured sand used in metro projects, signing supply agreements between manufactured sand suppliers and concrete companies to give priority to guaranteeing the supply for metro projects, as well as strengthening manufactured sand quality control and industry self-discipline, etc.
