When building a house in the countryside, does concrete need doused water to maintain certainly

In 2016, there was a family building a new house in our village. If the house leaks when it is finished. For leaks, maybe everyone is familiar with, such as one or two leaks on the roof, which has made people very upset. But his house is leaking everywhere, the whole second floor roof dripping everywhere. It's really raining outside and it's drizzling inside.

No one would be angry at such a situation in a newly built house where no one lived. He was so angry that he thought it was the cause of the construction party, but the construction party did not recognize it and put the responsibility on him.

The affair ended up with him not paying the builders. I'm not paid, but what if the house leaks? You can only go up half a level and make the slope. In fact, his roof leaks because of him. The family construction side tells him to want drench water to protect after applying completion. And they put the film on after they poured the concrete.

It was June and the temperature was extremely high. A gust of wind, the film to blow away, he does not care, but also do not rain water maintenance, whether rural self-built houses, or urban buildings, after pouring concrete need to be maintained.

The maintenance of concrete sounds very simple, that is, water on the line.

But drenching water is not simple, nor is it just ordinary drenching on the line, there are many factors affecting.

So, how many times a day is the best concrete water maintenance? Before saying this problem, it is necessary for us to say why we should drench the water after pouring the concrete.

I: Why should the concrete be treated with water?
After pouring concrete, there will be a process of shrinkage and solidification.

In many people's minds, the feeling is that the contraction and solidification of cement, so the faster the solidification, the better. There is nothing wrong with this idea, but cement takes time to set, and once the solidification time is too short and the shrinkage is too fast, cracks will occur.
Concrete in the slow contraction and solidification period, so that the degree of hardening to achieve a most balanced state, improve the strength and stiffness of concrete. Therefore, the shrinkage and solidification of concrete can not be too fast.

How can we slow down the shrinkage time of concrete? Is to increase its moisture content. The process of contraction and solidification is actually the process of evaporation of water. During this period, water is constantly replenished, which can slow down the contraction and solidification of concrete. Whether the concrete just poured after the cover film, or behind the continuous water, are to achieve this purpose.

First of all, just after watering, cover the film, in order to lock the water, this time once the solidification is too fast, there will be cracks visible to our naked eyes. Some of these cracks are only surface layer, and some are through-through cracks. Once a leak occurs, it can be particularly large.

When we spread the film, there is no late water pouring. Although the water on the surface is protected by the film, the internal shrinkage time becomes shorter. We see the solidification is completed. The gap produced in this way is mostly recessive, that is, you can't see it on the surface, but there is a gap inside.

When it rains heavily, the water will run off immediately because it's so fast. But when it rains, because the water doesn't move fast enough, it seeps down and trickles into the house. These gaps are the most annoying because you can't see what's wrong on the surface. For example, if there is a leak one meter in the house, the top might be five meters away from here, and you don't know where to start when you fix it. At the same time, people will be confused, they will wonder why it doesn't leak when it rains heavily, but leaks when it rains lightly. In fact, these are late drenching water maintenance caused by poor.

Therefore, the late water maintenance of concrete is very important. So, after watering, how many times a day to maintain wet water?

ⅱ : concrete wet water maintenance several times a day?
This is the problem that can often see, a lot of people want to build bridal chamber, can ask after pouring concrete, a day should fill water to maintain a few times? In fact, this is an unanswered question, because there are so many factors. Such as temperature, such as humidity, and so on, can affect how many times we should shower.

When we have finished pouring concrete, it has been cloudy, or even has been raining, so the water can be appropriately reduced. If the temperature is particularly high, it needs more maintenance. Anyhow, the purpose that does so, it is a principle with filling water. It doesn't have a specific answer, but it does have some general criteria.

For example, the normal northern summer, the temperature will reach 37 degrees, such a temperature, water interval can not be more than two hours, that is to say, two hours must be doused once. After the temperature drops in the evening, the drenching time can be appropriately extended. For example, change it to four or six hours. When the temperature is more than 20 degrees, you can shower once every three hours during the day, and once before you go to sleep and after you wake up at night.

In addition, it depends on the local air temperature. For example, some places are particularly humid, so in this case, the drenching can be appropriately reduced, if it is particularly dry in the north, the number of drenching will need to increase accordingly. In short, water is especially important for concrete during its solidification, and it needs to be replenished in large quantities. When we water the concrete, we can see that it bubbles upwards, which actually drives out the bubbles inside, which would have remained and formed cracks if we hadn't watered it.

Therefore, drenching water mainly depends on our local temperature and humidity. Of course, it needs water instead of soaking in water all the time, and some people say in that case, I'll just put it on and soak it. This, of course, is not good, will lead to a long time does not shrink and cause the top surface to become crisp. Drenching is a must, but not soaking.

ⅲ : Some people may wonder, since water is so needed, is it right after watering?
Not really. After pouring concrete, we put the film on to protect the top layer of concrete. After three or four hours, the surface shrinkage is complete. Concrete doesn't set all at once, it starts at the top and works its way down. Once the surface is set, we can pour water on it.
At extremely high temperatures, such as 37 degrees eight, the surface will have solidified in two hours at most and can be soaked. Drenching is very important for the late solidification contraction of concrete, it can not be careless, if the drenching is not good maintenance, after the occurrence of cracks and leakage of rain is very large. So, if we are building a house or plan to build a house, we must not ignore the maintenance of water on concrete.
